# Download a file

**GET /common/file/{fileId}**

Downloads a file by id. No auth. Usually answers 307 with a redirect to a signed storage URL of the original; otherwise streams the bytes. Returns 404 when the stored original is missing.

The file bytes, streamed when no signed URL is available. Not wrapped in the JSON envelope.
